Please bring tin cans to school on Friday for tin can telephones.  Spaghetti, tinned fruit, baked bean cans are great.

The last of our Te Reo speakers

We have all had a chance to share our Mihi with our classroom friends.  If you have not heard your child say their mihi, ask them to give you a performance at home.  They are very good.  Also a big congratulations to Rosa, Zach and Josh who stood up at the Marae and shared their Mihi.  The Tangata Whenua at the Marae was most impressed.  Go you guys!

Modern Learning

We are trying out a few new ideas in Room 13.  We have introduced some cool areas for work and we are finding that not everyone suits sitting very still in chairs.  Some people work really well standing, or leaning or even lying on a cushion.  It is really interesting watching the kids choose their preferred space and even more interesting seeing what they can produce in a space we might think is not conducive to written work.  Here are some photos of your cool kids in their choice of work space....
